I’ve never written a review of any kind before, but I can’t pass up this opportunity. My son entered Pacific Bay Recovery, in San Diego, California, on March 3rd 2018. He was an absolute mess! He was addicted to heroine and meth. He had been struggling with drugs for at least 10 years off and on. After 90 days in this program he seemed like a different kid. Every 30 days since, he’s progressed in a positive way. He’s gone from not caring if he lived or died, to caring about everything else! Pacific Bay Recovery is the whole reason for this MIRACLE!!! He’s now working, and planning on going back to college in the fall. He’s still working the program with these amazing people at the clinic. I have an undying gratitude for Dr. Duffy, Dr. King, Dr. Scott, Ms. Mari and Bryan Sharp. These wonderful people were always available for me via text, email or phone call. I’ve never experienced a rehab facility with such professional, smart, caring and awesome people. I will be forever thankful to you all from the bottom of my heart! This has meant so much to our whole family that we finally have our son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin back from the demons of these horrible drugs. My husband and I can finally sleep well at night and not be stressed with constant worry about him! We can also finally be truly, completely happy during the day too. It’s been a heart wrenching experience and my thoughts and prayers go out to any parent living with this awful situation! It was a nightmare. I would highly recommend Pacific Bay Recovery to anyone who has a loved one in need! It was worth every penny. And what parent wouldn’t give their last penny to save their child? Pacific Bay Recovery is a god-sent for any lost, dismayed, unfulfilled, hope to die withering entity with no sight of anything beyond the pain, low self-esteem, high self-hatred, and lack of confidence to feel or be anything more then that . (Aka the void inside us that needs to be filled with substances or maladaptive behaviors) I went into this program about a year and four months ago living in turmoil and delusion that , there was no helping my cause because I was sicker, less capable, and convinced living in the numbness, false-sense of worth, and false-sense of being was the only solution with the use of narcotics . They immediately took me in after a psychotic break in which I ended up in someone's house in a drug-induced psychosis. Their cutting edge detoxification methods are unparallel to yesterday's "he needs to suffer", uneducated, and simplistic approach. Just with the little determination I had obtained, conjured solely from the thought of ,"I have never lived a true-life, never gotten much from life, and just maybe, just maybe.. I could be the son/brother/grandchild/cousin/friend that I never was before. What do I got to lose in this small period of time before commiting suicide." This program showed me love, kindness, and started to guide me towards the contentment with my self and life which I yearned for. With immense expertise in the counseling staff , insurmountable regard in not just letting you be constant and then just kicking you out upon insurance ending, they do everything in their power to change you withen, get you working , and also "have open arms" to come in whenever your struggling upon your departure . I left the program about 6 months after arriving. I gained 50 pounds of solid muscle through day time fitness activities and the amazing food they provide. They helped me find a job and even let me stay a few weeks to save up some money . & Most important during that time , I found a glimpse of serenity , I found an essence in myself that allows me to be the person I know I can be, and that I AM CAPABLE of taking life on, with what was before, a colossal amount of defects, uncertainty, delusion , and hopelessness. I was able to still meet with my therapist once a week, attend process groups, and be around friends and family there , and just constant support in changing my thought patterns, my perceptions, and thought stopping the constant negative and demising introspecting my mind is designed to do like clock work. This happening was serendipitous to the fullest extent and it can be for you to. If you are willing and have any sort of faith that things can be different ... & Are willing to bare through some temporary pain and take contrary action to what your mind thinks is right . Then, This is the place to go . Unless you want to just waste your time and go to all the other places where you just dick around, get to live an a designed illusion of reality (program 1 hour a day, house by the beach , get to just wander the streets all day after one group a day.. ) while they siphon your insurance money until they kick you out and good luck.... Been to an ample amount of treatments like that and never have I been able to build the foundation in all areas that I have now and at the same time creating a family, friends, a conscious competentce, and a God guiding and filling the void I've always filled with other things . I recommend Pacific Bay Recovery to any family or friends struggling with addiction/alcoholism. From the day i was picked up at the airport to the day i finished my recommend stay in the treatment center i was treated with respect. Pacific Bay Recovery cares about everyone in the program and will do everything they can to make sure you are ok!

Quality care, compassionate staff, and effective treatment. I highly recommend Pacific Bay Recovery to anyone who has struggled with substance abuse related to chronic pain. The staff is extremely knowledgable and always has the patients best interest at heart. Miracles happen at this treatment center for people who have been on pain medication for years with no hope of getting off of it. I know first hand that the staff goes above and beyond to help not only their patients in any way that they can, but the San Diego community as well. I will gladly continue to recommend this program to individuals suffering from chronic pain and substance abuse.

I can't believe it, some God sent person named Brian just picked up my boyfriend and was able to get him into detox. My boyfriend is very stubborn, adversarial, borderline mean drunk. Although he is a wonderful person sober, it took poor Brian three hours to get him into the car to come to Pacific Bay ...... many many thanks to this amazing person and outfit!

Pacific Bay Recovery helped save my life when i was a hopeless heroin addict. i didnt think that regaining control of my life was possible until i met the team at Pacific Bay. They helped me regain my health and strength, while teaching all i needed to know about substance abuse and brain patterns. I have been to 8 other treatment centers(across the world) before coming to Pacific Bay and this was by far the best treatment center I have encountered. From family sessions, to trigger groups, psychotherapy, process group; to acupuncture, massages, and fun activities the options are endless! I will forever be grateful for Pacific Bay Recovery and the help that i received from them. If it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am today, holding down a job and most importantly living life without the use of drugs or alcohol! I can't thank Pacific Bay Recovery enough for everything they helped me with in my recovery process.

Pacific Bay Recovery gets 5 stars in our book. Our son has been in many different treatment facilities and Pacific Bay Recovery goes above and beyond to help the patient in every aspect of life. They truly seem to have the patient's best interest at heart. Our son has been in Pacific Bay Recovery for treatment since December and is thriving in the treatment program. He feels at home there and has become so positive and hopeful again. He has a very complicated past medical history and Pacific Bay is very attentive to his needs. He is very lucky to be alive today. The Staff has been amazing and very helpful every step of the way. We live on the East Coast and anytime we call, the staff is great and always answers our questions. If we leave a message, our phone calls are always returned. They have a very realistic and multi-modal approach. This is one of the few treatment facilities that allow you to seek treatment over a longer period of time, which is a great and allows the patient to progress and become more confident in their daily lives. As family members, along with our son, we highly recommend Pacific Bay Recovery!

If you're looking for an impersonal, cookie-cutter rehab machine, this is not the place for you. If, on the other hand, you're looking to get clean and stay that way, look no further. I came into Pacific Bay strung-out, hopeless and on the verge of death. After years of getting clean, relapsing, and cycling through countless rehabs only to be released back into the same old things I'd left behind (usually with little more than a pamphlet of local AA meetings to rely on), I was really on my last limbs. Day one, I sat down with Dr. Duffy (who owns the whole place--already a good sign...) in his medical clinic, which is actually on-site, and he asked me one question: "Do you want to live like this any more?" Dopesick and miserable, I told him I couldn't. He literally promised right there to change my life, a notion which I scoffed at with complete skepticism. Go figure, he did what he said he would.... This place is not about cycling you through the same generic groups that every rehab offers, which isn't to say there isn't an excellent clinical staff. Dr. Duffy makes it his personal mission to find out what's really missing from your life and getting it back for you. For the first time, I actually have the beginnings of a new life, not just a half-assed band-aid on the old one. I'm back in school and working. I'm in good standing with my family after years without communication. I've seen clients do countless other things facilitated by the program. This place is about finding out what works for YOU. If you're sick of being stuck in the hopeless cycle that is addiction, this is your place. If you're sick of stuck-up, money-hungry, facilities spewing the same uninspired BS at you, without ever taking a second to get to get to know you, Pac-Bay is for you. If you've been waiting for someone to treat you like a person, Dr. Duffy and his staff will do just that. Last year, I wouldn't have guessed I'd still be around now. Today, I have a life because these people have actually stuck with me the whole way (which, I assure you, is no easy task). Also, it doesn't hurt that the housing is really nice....

I was in a low point in my life and really needed some direction as to how to gain control of my life. My husband and I were looking for a safe and professional environment. We found Pacific Bay Recovery and were able to get in for a consult the next day to meet with the medical director. I was very scared and felt so alone. The staff was amazing and made me feel very safe. They included my family in my recovery and we have all grown from the experience. I was able to get my life back after some serious work with the medical team. I'm so thankful for Pacific Bay and would recommend it to anyone.
